SUBGRANTS

PARTNER WITH CASWELL ARTS FOR YOUR NC ARTS COUNCIL GRASSROOTS GRANT

North Carolina Arts Council's cornerstone program provides arts funding to all 100 counties through an extensive network of local arts councils and other partners. Funds, distributed on a per capita basis, ensure that all citizens have access to quality arts experiences and benefit from the important role the arts play in their communities. Grassroots funds also support the sustainability of local arts councils: organizations that are central to community life.

Grassroots Arts Project Grants are made possible by the North Carolina Arts Council and
dispersed to each county by their local arts council. Non-profit organizations who implement arts projects.

SELLING IN THE GALLERY

Caswell Arts provides many opportunities for artists to have their work displayed in our gallery.  We offer a variety of group shows including a CCFTA members show, an annual Juried Art Show, and Student Art Show (K-12).  Group shows vary by year, and may include other shows not listed above.

We also have limited opportunities for individual artists to exhibit in the gallery in a show of their own or a smaller group show of two or three artists.  The best way to be considered for such an exhibit is to participate in our annual Juried Art Show.

COMMISSIONS

Artists of all varieties who exhibit at the Caswell Council for the Arts' Lee Fowlkes Gallery are invited to have their work for        sale at the gallery.  Items will be priced as the artist designates.  The Caswell Council for the Arts will retain 25% of the price sold for current CCFTA members, and 35% for non-members as a donation to the CCFTA in support of our gallery program. All artists are invited and encouraged to become CCFTA members if they wish.  Payment to artists for works sold will be made within 14 days of the completion of the exhibit in which the sales were made.
